cj Sez: I planned to write something on Lyrical Pens today but couldn't get my head around any positive ideas. Maybe tomorrow. I certainly hope your Valentine's weekend went a whole lot better than mine.
I'm trying to get past a difficult weekend. Attended a funeral Friday morning, my minivan quit at the recycle center on Saturday and made me late for an appointment to get taxes done (bought a new battery), was stranded at Target this a.m. (van refused to start again--obviously, not a battery problem-- and it's still sitting in the parking lot at 7:00 pm CST), learned of the death of dear friend from my worker days, and now the fan on my heat pump is making strange noises (can't deal with the long-term cold I guess). I'll call the A/C guy in the morning to check out the heat pump (hope he can come before it absolutely stops working) then have the van towed to a mechanic and plan to bum rides until it's fixed.
On the up side, I expect to feel a lot better next weekend. On the down side, I expect to be a lot more broke.
Oh, there was a thoughtful and wonderful bright moment on Friday afternoon: My neighbor gave me two beautiful nesting, serving trays that he created out of a recycled mahogany pallet. Yay.
You-all guys keep on keeping on, and I'll try to do the same.
