Fortunately, despite the 70 mph-plus winds roaring through my tree tops, the only losses I suffered were some limbs down and torrential splatters of leaves and branches.
Between the winds and water, Dauphin Island and downtown Mobile took a hard hit. As did some of my neighbors…
Through the generosity of a young people’s group at City Hope Church in Mobile, we had extra hands to help clean up the yard on Friday.
Got 98 percent of the job done! We had five or six piles of leaves to pick up Saturday, but it rained all day, and the forecast is for a constant, misty rain all day Sunday.
Guess the leaves will have to wait a couple of more days. But we are so grateful and blessed.
